Instagram also said the link stickers will only be available to users with more than 10,000 followers or verified by the platform with a blue check mark. Last month, it was reported that Instagram had started testing a new feature that would put ads on its Store tab. Instagram introduced the Stores tab last year as part of its efforts to expand into the e-commerce space.
According to a report from TechCrunch, the new ad feature will include ads that will either involve a single image or a carousel of them. Initially, only certain advertisers will have access to it first, but the company will slowly expand the functionality.
