Along with a month-old security patch, the update brings several improvements to the camera, system performance, network stability and more.
The update is currently being rolled out on the Indian, North American and European versions of OnePlus Nord 2. Here is a full changelog that the latest update brings to the smartphone according to the official forum.
System improvements

  • Reduced energy consumption in specific scenarios
  • Optimization of certain texts for the system
  • Android security patch update to 2021.09
  • Fixed known issues and improved stability

Camera improvement

  • Improved HDR effect in some shooting scenes

  • Optimized network connection stability

That is just about everything. The update is expected to improve HDR quality in shooting scenes. Also, better power management is part of the update.
The update is now rolled out as OTA and most OnePlus Nord 2 users should see the update notification. If your smartphone has not received the update notification, go to Settings -> System -> System updates on the smartphone to manually check for the update.
OnePlus also pointed out that the update is rolling out gradually and may take some time to reach each use.
